Abstract
The SIREME project lead by the research center Cemagref, aims to put in place information systems able to support environmental and quality processes at the production scale. This paper describes a pilot project: The conception of a shared geographic information system related to field crop productions contracts binding co-operatives and farmers. This system has to integrate spatial and historical management information, simplify data registration and management necessary for agricultural practices, and create communicating information systems linking farmers and their partners. Such an information system needs the use of new information and communication technologies, particularly web-enabled GIS. This system is currently under development, and should be tested during 2001.
