Sciences Eaux & Territoires is a French-language journal that provides clear and easy-to-read information of high scientific and technical quality in order to help decision makers, stakeholders in management of water resources, and landscape management. It covers major issues related to water and waste management, natural hazards, global changes and their impacts on biodiversity and territorial resources (agricultural, aquatic, forestry), and new risk situations resulting from these global changes.

The journal publishes topical issues and current issues. The articles are written by scientists and professionals working in the fields of local sustainable development and environment (i.e.: research consultancies, research & development of public and private institutions, technical institutes, associations, local communities).

An editorial board, composed of scientific and operational experts, reviews and validates all the articles before their publication. Our website publishes them in an open access digital format. We also print the topical issues in limited editions to allow the scientists to communicate on their subjects.

Numerous search engines and databases reference the journal and the articles: DOAJ, HAL, CAIRN, Isidore, Mir@bel.

The journal Sciences Eaux & Territoires was published under the title Ingénieries-Eau-Agriculture-Territoires from 1995 to 2009 (ISSN 1264-9147).

All articles published from 1995 can be consulted on this site.

INRAE is the owner of the journal. Led by the Institute's Directorate for Open Science (DipSO), the journal is fully supported by public funding.
