Regional potential and quality approaches in the case of the Drôme fishery

Abstract
A regional strategy to improve value and quality must be based on a sound knowledge of production methods, the local quality potential and the likely causes of any possible reduction in quality. For conducting such a strategy and drawing up a specification for fruit growers, the author suggests an approach based on a production scheduling scheme and an analysis of the variations in production quality observed throughout the region. The paper describes the method proposed and the results obtained for the Pêche Label Rouge de la Drôme (peaches).
