Perception of the landscape impacts of forestry actions

Abstract
A study carried out in the non-centralised departments of the ministries in charge of agriculture, forestry and environment enabled a greater understanding of the impact of forestry work on the landscape. This is described on various scales: from a plot to a small natural area, from a plantation to an industrial forest. In addition to the inadequacies and the needs of those involved with this aspect of the landscape, the paper draws conclusions on the need to take an interest in the other users of the countryside about whose expectations little is known.
