Twenty-five years of voluntary service in favour of a river landscape

Abstract

The voluntary service of a private person, with a clear goal, can be substituted to services with a poor efficiency and can obtain the agreement of the population to generate a local dynamics of rehabilitation and revegetation of a whole range of valleys. This president of the « Syndicat intercommunal d’aménagement de la Vézère » did not restrict his action to the river restoration, but also went towards a strategy of revegetation of this valley which is close to his heart.
