Abstract
Different vegetative propagation techniques have been successfully utilized for the ex situ conservation of the genetic resources of the three elm species native to Europe: Ulmus minor, U. glabra, U. laevis. Cuttings are a particularly valuable means to duplicate the material for which some kind of tolerance to Dutch Elm Disease is suspected and needs to be further assessed in susceptibility tests.
