Information needed by the forest management planner

Abstract

After reminding the nature and the importance of the relations between forest management planning and other components of land-planning policies, the paper presents a review of the informations needed by forest management planners. They are heterogeneous in the forest sector whether you consider forest management at one end and wood industry at the other end, and collecting them is a burden, especially for socio-economic matters. A few proposals are made to improve their availability and their analysis, focusing on the regional level.
