Optimisation of the agricultural sprayers for a better distribution on the ground: virtual prototyping

Abstract

The quality of the distribution on the crops of a plant health treatment is largely dependent on the stability of the spray booms. The maturity of the computer aided design systems make it possible today to tackle this problem through virtual prototyping. This indeed makes it possible to simulate the dynamic behaviour of a spraying system (including hydraulics and control aspects) in order to be able to optimise it, before reaching the pre-industrial stage.
