Abstract
Currently, a great knowledge exists in the field of restoration and creation of ecosystems. It deals with the operations on soils and vegetation species used for the rehabilitation of disturbed ecosystems. The engineer in ecology, who owns this knowledge, can be considered as an expert for managers and fulfils their needs in a perspective of sustainable development. However it is still necessary to carry out researches to determine the significance of the various parameters involved in the success of the revegetation actions and the evolution of the pioneer ecosystem. It is also advisable to start an important discussion about the consequences of climatic changes on the tourist activity in mountain lands.
