Geotextiles in common structures

Abstract

The French Geosynthetics Society (CFG) prepared new recommendations on the use of geotextiles in common structures, where they are used for separation and fi ltration purposes. A long and difficult work on the criteria for mechanical classification of the available products was necessary to establish these recommendations. The paper presents the corresponding analyses and discussions, together with the solution fi nally adopted.
