Abstract
This work is listing the quantitative groundwater management practices implemented all around the world. In order to do so, we propose a classification based on Feitelson, Haddad and Arlosoroff (2001). We thus put the groundwater management practices in the following classes: command and control, planification, institutions, economic incentives and voluntary instruments. The main conclusion is that the corrective instruments implemented in practice are very numerous. It is thus of high importance to take into account the institutional and legal framework related to the aquifer studied before analyzing its management.
