Water reserves replacement: a solution to water stress?

Abstract
The rivers suffer in summer, and in spite of this they must meet ever increasing needs: drinking water supply, irrigation... which calls into question the maintenance of their good biological functioning. In this context, in order to reason irrigation and manage the resource in the best possible way according to the needs of the different actors, one of the solutions proposed to farmers is the construction of substitution reserves, which are supposed to fill up in winter and replace the pumping in the water tables in summer. This article proposes to study the advantages and disadvantages of this solution based on two studies located in the Lot watershed.
