The use of geosynthetics products in remediation techniques

Abstract

After a general presentation of the polluted sites set of problems, several case studies involving the use of geosynthetic materials for their remediation (including industrial former plants) have been analysed and are briefly presented. This allows a first classification of the panel of geosynthetic materials used according to the various remediation techniques that have been applied. We also tried to analyse the conceptual principles that have been followed for these remediation works and we propose a critical analysis and some recommendations.
