Comparative analysis of formulation techniques for national and regional ecological networks

Abstract

The French ecological network (called Trame verte et bleue) aims to preserve and restore the ecological continuities. As part of its support to the Ministry of Environment and to the national Committee for the implementation of the Trame verte et bleue, Cemagref has coordinated the drafting of national guidelines. As part of this work, Cemagref has identified significant national and regional experiences and has analysed and compared the methods used. Elements for a national framework and recommendations for the design and mapping of the network at the regional level have been presented to the Committee and after review have been included in the national guidelines.
