Fighting banana sigatoka diseases in the French West Indies : Eco-conception of an innovative ground solution

Abstract

Banana growers in the French West Indies have to face a major stake today : fight effectively against the yellow and black cercosporioses, while respecting regulations in force. The Optiban project was launched in 2008 to meet the needs of improvement of the air applications and in the necessity of finding alternative methods ground effective and adapted to the waits of the profession. We present the approach which was employed to develop this ground solution and the results which we obtained this day.
