Abstract

In the current context of increasing pressure on water resources, what are the means to save water by improving the irrigation efficiency of a crop while preserving production? The agronomic work presented here combines experimentation, surveys and modelling to assess the efficiency of gravity irrigation of grasslands on the Crau plain and to propose new management scenarios adapted to the various uses and users of the water resource.
