Abstract
Plant engineering is proving to be a natural, effective and sustainable solution to the problems of riverbank erosion. How can these techniques be applied to riverbanks subject to summer droughts? This article proposes to study the potential of riparian species that are still little exploited today, the Tamaricaceae, which have specific drought resistance faculties while having bank stabilisation capacities.
