Abstract

In order to develop effective management strategies, it is necessary to have a better understanding of invasive alien species and to be able to classify them according to their invasive potential. In France, the national working group on biological invasions in aquatic environments has initiated the creation of a list of animal and plant species introduced into freshwater or marine environments, in order to contribute to an initial assessment of the situation in metropolitan France.
