Abstract

In order to effectively guide a policy to control energy consumption in agriculture, it is essential to have synthetic data on the fuel consumption of agricultural equipment on farms. The authors present here consumption estimates obtained from two different approaches: a machine-centred approach and an agronomic approach to mechanised work.
