Abstract

Restoring the ecological continuity of rivers is essential for the free movement of fish and the adaptation of species to climate change, in order to ensure the proper functioning of aquatic ecosystems. In the Orgeval catchment area, Irstea's scientific teams are carrying out experiments to diagnose the fragmentation of small rivers and the effects it has on fish populations.
