Abstract

Along the railway lines, managers are increasingly turning to eco-grazing to maintain vegetation and control invasive alien species. The trend today is towards extensive grazing with fewer animals, but over the longer term to effectively limit stem growth by depleting the reserves stored in the plant's rhizomes.
