Abstract
In the face of the reality and the more significant manifestation of climate change, there is a growing urgency to trigger awareness and to initiate the transition to adaptation action. In order to make everyone understand how they are concerned by the impacts, and how they can act, Cerema intervenes through the dissemination of knowledge, support for territorial approaches and the provision of tools. The National Resource Centre on Adaptation to Climate Change will soon offer territorial actors resources for action. The Observatory Climate-Air-Energy of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, provides territorial profiles to feed the diagnoses of the Territorial Air-Energy Climate Plans. Cerema also develops methodologies to support territories, to assess their vulnerability to climate change and build adaptation action plans. These approaches are underpinned by tools, such as Clim'Urba, that facilitate the consideration of climate issues in planning processes and are implemented through innovative and collaborative production and animation practices.
