Re-Development of enclosed hedge fields: A relevant response to erosive issues? Feedback from Pays de Caux

Abstract

In the Pays de Caux, in Seine-Maritime, three quarters of the territory is affected by water erosion. In the most at-risk areas, the planting of hyper-dense hedges is one of the plant engineering solutions to effectively limit the transfer of suspended matter and the sustainability of the soil. This is confirmed by several studies summarized by the author of this article
