A label for hedges

Abstract

Concerned about ensuring the sustainable management of hedges and hedges, farmers and their wood value-added structures, supported by Afac-Agroforesteries, are working together to create a national certification that will label good hedgerow management practices by farmers and the control of an ethical, sustainable and local wood production chain. The label "Haie" thus meets the dual objective of producing energy wood and timber with the guarantee of a renewed resource and the maintenance of sustainable and functional hedged landscapes. From the first to the last link in the chain, it aims to guide the evolution of production, distribution and consumption practices.
