Hedge planting projects carried out by Channel farmers

Abstract

In the Manche, France's leading grove department, about twenty thousand kilometres of hedges have disappeared in twenty years, according to figures from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière. Farmers and the Federation of Channel Afforestation Associations are mobilising to boost hedge planting.
