Abstract
Since 2004, the Conservatory of natural spaces of Rhône-Alpes has been at the forefront of safeguarding the apron of the Rhône, first as pilot of the second Life Apron project and then as coordinator of the national action plan (NAP) for the species. In this introductory article, Marianne Georget, facilitator of the PNA, retraces the key stages of the reconquest of rivers by the apron made possible thanks to operations and work that have mobilized more than thirty scientific, technical and financial partners.
