Landscape approaches to mitigating and offsetting impacts on biodiversity offsetting: dialogue on some key questions

Abstract

In this crossover, scientists, economic and public actors from the territories and representatives of a research firm address some of the key questions raised by the application of the Avoid-Reduce-Compensate (ERC) sequence on a territorial scale. What ambition can we give it in terms of biodiversity conservation? How to organize in the territories to implement and monitor it? And what is the place of research to support stakeholders so that, at the chosen scale, decisions taken in favour of biodiversity are as effective as possible.
