Management of subsurface drained water at outlet of drained agricultural watershed

Abstract

The objective of land drainage is to remove excess water from the soil to promote it. However, land drainage generates impacts on natural environments that are important to understand in order to develop techniques that can be better taken into account environmental issues. After a synthesis of research work on the impact of water, this article presents solutions to limit these impacts on water regime and quality, with an emphasis on the contributions of ecological engineering.
