Feedback on a large-scale participatory approach for the citizens of the Drôme river basin

Abstract

The Drôme valley is one of the five pilot alpine valleys selected to experiment with new forms of citizen participation for water and river management through the SPARE (Strategic planning for alpine river ecosystem) program. Between 2016 and 2018, more than three hundred and forty participants were able to share their perceptions and desires for the water and rivers of the Drôme watershed and approximately one hundred and ninety proposals for action were recorded.
