Supporting the Espace Mont-Blanc transboundary territory in its approach to adapting to climate change

Abstract

The authorities of the Espace Mont-Blanc territory worked for three years (2017-2020) on the adaptation of territorial planning to climate change, as part of the transboundary project called "AdaPT Mont-Blanc". In this contribution, we will mobilize the experience of supporting the implementation of the participatory approach of the project carried out by ACTeon with the Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley Community of municipalities (project partner), in close collaboration with the other partners and activities of the project. In particular, we will come back to the lessons and the added value of approach compared to the desired result: to define a local strategy for adaptation to climate change, at the scale of the Espace Mont-Blanc.
