Sketchnote - Preserving Biodiversity on Farms: What If We Thought and Acted with a Results-Based Logic?

Abstract

A research group at the INRAE research farm in Saint-Laurent de la Prée is testing a participatory approach to preserving biodiversity. The approach is based on an adaptive management method with a ‘result-based’ logic. The transfer of the knowledge acquired during the project took the form of scientific articles as well as the production of visual boards, organized in the form of sketchnotes. Created by a graphic designer with a scientific background, these visuals are now being used to promote the approach to local players. They go hand in hand with a scientific article published in the journal Sciences Eaux & Territoires, some of whose explanatory elements we have included in the form of verbatim comments.
