Towards intelligent automatic tractor control

Abstract

The number of electronic devices is increasing in tractor cab, and that could generate a stress on the driver. In some case, he doesn't inform himself of his running work characteristics. The supervisor, an onboard computer, will substitute these electronic boxes, by collecting the different data from the sensors of the tractor. Its goals are to filter these informations, and then to display the most appropriate of them. It provides advices for better adjustments of the tractor-implement system. According to its level of evolution, the supervisor will manage itself automatisms and collect data for a better economical management of the work in plots. The paper presents the concept of the supervisor for an agricultural tractor and its different levels of evolution.
